I started to consider seriously about every possible change of living style, as a human being, that could lead to zero waste in daily life.

I learned about intelligent environmental technology and then founded the brand “TABLE FARMING”.

I am Lin, the brand founder.

I love and respect my profession.

Environment sustainability is never a grandiose scheme. It faithfully concerns with all individual species on earth.

It seemed I was always so sure what education to apply for, since my mother had taught me good lessons during my childhood.

My mother, a retired bank manager, shows great passion in planting despite decades of such rational occupation.

My parents lived in countryside. They have a lovely house with two small courtyards. After retirement, my mother finally could apply herself to planting. The garden is full of seasonal vegetables, fruits and flowers.

(Photos are taken in my mother’s garden.)

Recently her main observation is that a flock of thrushes keep wandering around the peach tree on which green peaches have just came out.

But she did nothings.

If the peaches are popular like that, be our guests, birds.

It is 100% organic in the garden with chemical fertilizer fully rejected.

My mother makes composts by hand.

When I was a kid, she usually invited me to join in the “microorganism revolution”. We put food wastes and dry straws in a bucket and then waited a month for the magical transformation.

I asked why does she like planting?

She said, “It is not about planting. It is a fantastic process to participate in the collaboration of nature.”

I asked why not buy organic fertilizers instead of food wastes?

She said, “Honey, they are never wastes if we don’t waste them. Every organic substance can reborn in various forms.”

This might be the most important lesson she taught me.

I learned that the earth runs on under its own rules. I learned to see myself as one of creatures same as others that should follow the rules. I learn to respect biological diversity. My whole life finds a convinced way on what I believe in.

Earlier this year my mother planted some apricot trees and blueberry bushes.

She spends all day in fields, busier than ever.

But she does not need to wait a month for composts. I finally set up my own brand, and I gave her one of our products, a food waste composter, on her birthday in March. Now she can collect five liters of composts in one night sleeping hours.

I am impressed that she gets on so well with electronic products.

I can not wait to pick blueberries.

And I hope birds will not eat up the peaches this summer however.
